This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the employment functions for clients of The Salvation Army programs. The individual will evaluate the residents' readiness for employment; conduct orientation meetings, job readiness training sessions, employment counseling, employment referrals, and work-site visits. This is a highly visible position as the individual will interact with business owners and community leaders in order to seek potential employment opportunities for the clients served. Duties Assess clients' employment needs, skills, and goals through comprehensive interviews and evaluations. Develop personalized employment plans that align with clients' aspirations and market demands. Assist clients with resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies to enhance their employability. Cultivate relationships with local employers to identify job openings and promote inclusive hiring practices. Provide ongoing support and coaching to clients throughout their job search, including post-placement follow-up. Organize workshops and training sessions on workplace skills, soft skills development, and career advancement. Requirements A Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Social work 3 years of experience performing work counseling with vulnerable populations Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and build rapport with diverse populations Excellent communication skills for conducting assessments, facilitating workshops, and engaging with employers Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment A proactive attitude with a passion for helping others succeed in their careers A valid State Driver's license is required This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference in people's lives while developing your professional expertise.
