Job Description
- Must be from MSFW background; and/or speaks the predominant language of the local MSFW workforce, i.e., Spanish and/or be racially or ethnically representative of the MSFW's in the service area.
- Florida Commerce is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Specialist to provide outreach and workforce services to Migrant and Seasonal Farm Workers (MSFW) in the community.
- T Conduct outreach and assessments with Migrant and Seasonal Farm Workers in their communities Interview customers to determine employment needs and provide job referrals Connect individuals to training, benefits, and workforce services Educate customers on their rights under state and federal regulations Assist with job development and placement services Serve as a liaison between customers, Career Centers, and community partners Maintain accurate records and prepare reports related to MSFW services Support Prevailing Wage Surveys and other workforce initiatives Deliver services in a professional, customer-focused, and culturally competent manner Minimum Requirements Ability to become certified as a Workforce Development Professional (Tier 1) within 1 year Must have reliable transportation and ability to travel within the service area Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening (fingerprinting required) Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent 3-5 years of experience in customer service, social services, or workforce development Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Experience working with diverse or underserved populations Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills Ability to conduct interviews, provide guidance, and support case management Skilled in Microsoft Office applications Ability to present information in group settings Strong problem-solving and organizational skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Ability to build relationships and engage effectively with the public Other job-related requirements for this position :- Must become certified as a Workforce Development Professional (Tier 1) within (1) month appointment.
- Required to travel within the LWDA and must furnish own transportation.
