Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Job Coach to empower individuals with diverse abilities to achieve their employment goals. In this vital role, you will serve as a dedicated mentor and guide, providing personalized support to help clients develop essential skills, navigate workplace environments, and secure meaningful employment opportunities. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire confidence, foster independence, and promote workforce inclusion for all individuals you serve. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference in people's lives with disabilities while advancing your career in workforce development, social work, or related fields. Duties Collaborate with clients to assess their strengths, interests, and employment aspirations, creating tailored employment plans. Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to enhance job readiness skills such as communication, time management, and workplace etiquette. Assist clients in understanding and complying with employment and labor laws relevant to their roles. Support individuals with developmental disabilities or autism by adapting training methods to meet their unique needs. Conduct mock interviews, role-playing exercises, and training sessions to prepare clients for real-world job situations. Facilitate connections between clients and local employers through recruiting efforts and workforce development initiatives. Monitor progress post-placement, offering continued support to ensure successful integration into the workplace environment. Skills Strong knowledge of employment and labor law principles relevant to diverse work settings. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism, demonstrating patience and adaptability. Background in addiction counseling or social work is advantageous for supporting clients facing additional challenges. Proven ability to teach, mentor, and motivate individuals toward achieving their employment goals. Skilled in interviewing techniques, recruitment strategies, and training & development practices. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, employers, and community partners. Ability to assess client needs comprehensively and develop innovative solutions that promote independence and success. Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
