Job Description

Job Overview Hunter Rodgers Corporation is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Job Trainer to provide Prevocational Services to individuals with disabilities. The Job Trainer will work one-on-one and in small group settings to help participants develop the skills, behaviors, and confidence needed to prepare for competitive employment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others achieve independence and success in the workplace. Responsibilities Provide individualized prevocational training to participants in community and classroom settings. Facilitate engaging work readiness workshops covering topics such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, professionalism, financial literacy, time management, and workplace expectations. Conduct career exploration and employment preparation activities to help participants identify career interests and goals. Provide hands-on job training and skill development to prepare participants for competitive, integrated employment. Assist participants in developing workplace soft skills, including attendance, punctuality, interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and customer service. Conduct community-based instruction and outreach , introducing participants to local employers, businesses, and community resources that support employment and independent living. Accompany participants on community outings to reinforce workplace readiness and independent living skills. Develop and implement individualized training plans based on each participant's strengths, interests, and employment goals. Monitor participant progress and provide coaching, encouragement, and constructive feedback. Maintain accurate service documentation, progress notes, attendance records, and required reports. Collaborate with supervisors, case managers, families, employers, schools, and referral agencies to support participant success. Assist with recruiting participants and representing Hunter Rodgers Corporation at community events, resource fairs, and outreach activities. Maintain professional relationships with community partners and employers to identify opportunities for participant engagement and employment. Travel throughout the Metro Atlanta area to provide services at participant, employer, school, and community locations. Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities as required. Perform other duties as assigned in support of Hunter Rodgers Corporation's employment and prevocational services. Skills Some knowledge of employment & labor law as it pertains to individuals with disabilities. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism in educational or social service settings. Skilled in teaching, mentoring, coaching, recruiting, training & development within workforce development programs. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes. Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations. Experience in case management, interviewing techniques, client advocacy, and social services delivery. Excellent writing skills for preparing reports, training materials, and correspondence. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Rehabilitation, Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field preferred . 1-2 years of experience providing prevocational services preferred. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including developmental or intellectual disabilities, preferred. Knowledge of work readiness training, job coaching, employment preparation, and community-based services preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required. Ability to pass required background and driving record checks. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems preferred.
