Job Description
On-Campus Support For Kennesaw College Student Seeking a reliable, positive aide to support our son, a young adult with Down syndrome, as he begins a college program this fall. Our son is friendly, funny, social, and excited to experience college life and become more independent. Responsibilities include helping with campus navigation accompanying him to classes assisting with organization, note-taking, homework and assignments encouraging independence and social engagement on campus supporting with errands and independent living skills (e.g. shopping, meal prep) Ideal candidates are dependable, kind, organized, and comfortable working with young adults with intellectual disabilities. Experience in education, special education, psychology, occupational therapy, nursing, or related fields is a plus. Some college or university experience is strongly desired. Students or individuals local to the Kennesaw area are strongly encouraged to apply.
