Job Description / Career Planner Name & Job Title Career Planner Reports to Program Director Job Purpose The Career planner is responsible for direct contact and facilitation of client and employer services associated with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and other grants and programs. Performs all other duties as assigned. Duties and Responsibilities Interviews, assesses, and presents prospective clients who are requesting career and training assistance for panel consideration of suitability for a scholarship. Works directly with clients to complete required paperwork and activities for eligibility and certification. Assist customers in determining programs and services (Career and Training) needed for successful completion of training programs. Completion of all activities required for documenting and administering services. Maintaining regular contact and records for career and training services. Receives training documentation for the completion of vouchers for occupational and work-based learning trainings. Completion of work-based learning required documentation for trainings. Assists in the recruitment of eligible clients and outreach to inform the public of services. Assisting individuals looking for employment in resume writing, LMI, applications and other job search and interview needs. Working with businesses, community organizations and etc. for collaboration of services. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences, Education or Business and at least one-year work experience in Human Resources, Social Services, or Education. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered; however, preference will be given to those applicants meeting the educational requirement.
