Job Description

Position Overview The Clubhouse Generalist I provides direct support and services to individuals participating in the Clubhouse program, promoting recovery, independence, and community integration. This role engages members in meaningful, side-by-side activities that support skill development, employment, and overall wellness. The Clubhouse Generalist fosters a welcoming, inclusive, and member-driven environment. This position collaborates with team members to meet the needs of participants, supports daily clubhouse operations, and contributes to the overall mission of empowering the individuals to achieve their personal and recovery goals. Typical Schedule
M-F 8A - 4P
•Potential for some evenings/weekends/holidays• Essential Functions The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Supports and promotes the organization's mission, vision, and values in all interactions and services Ensures services are delivered in accordance with the Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PCTP) scope of practice as defined by the State of Indiana Engages members in the daily operations of the Clubhouse using a side-by-side, recovery-oriented approach Facilitates member participation in all aspects of Clubhouse activities, including work-ordered day functions Assists members in identifying and achieving personal goals related to employment, education, and independent living Provides support in job readiness, employment attainment, and job retention efforts Collaborates with team members to coordinate services and ensure members needs are met Completes required documentation, including progress notes, state-required assessments, and billing, in a timely and accurate manner Maintains and updates scheduling and records within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Plans, organizes, and participates in Clubhouse events, including evening, weekend, and holiday programming Provides transportation for members to appointments, community activities, and other approved destinations as needed Communicates effectively with members, staff, and community partners while maintaining professionalism and appropriate boundaries Adheres to all organizational policies, procedures, and state guidelines Performs other related duties as assigned Work-Related Experience Two (2) year experience in community resource coordinator and/or rehabilitation services for adults with serious mental illness preferred, but not required Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with complex medical or behavioral health needs and providing direct client support preferred, but not required Experience or familiarity with crisis intervention and trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment Mental:
Ability to engage effectively with individuals experiencing mental health challenges using a calm and supportive, recovery-oriented approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with members, staff, and community partners Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in a structured yet flexible environment Demonstrates sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and appropriate boundaries Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in crisis or high-stress situations Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with discretion
Physical:
Frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting of patients or equipment (up to 10 lbs). Ability to perform repetitive motions, including typing for EHR documentation. Active participation in Clubhouse activities throughout the day Ability to transport members safely, requiring a valid driver's license Prolonged sitting at a desk with frequent computer use.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a clean, well-lit, and ventilated environment. Potential for irregular hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Education, Certification, and Licensure Education:

Valid Driver's License Skills Ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with clients. Effective time management and organizational skills. Commitment to professional growth and supervision. Cultural competence and ability to work with diverse populations. Effective verbal and written communication skills Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate electronic systems Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong customer service skills, with the ability to resolve concerns professionally and effectively Ability to work collaboratively with clients, staff, and community partners Valid driver's license with the ability to transport clients as needed Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
