Job Description

Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, dynamic professional SCSEP Coordinator to join our team! The SCSEP Coordinator will perform and coordinate recruitment, intake, eligibility determination, orientation, advising, enrollment, and follow up procedures for program participants. Goodwill's Mission is to connect Kentucky job seekers with the resources and services they need to find and maintain long-term employment and a career path. We serve Kentuckians who have disabilities or experience other challenges finding success in the workforce, such as criminal backgrounds, language barriers, limited education, lack of transportation and chronic poverty.
Job Type:
Full Time, Non-Exempt Essential Duties and Tasks:
Recruits and selects participants according to program and funder guidelines. Determines eligibility of participants based upon established guidelines provided by
USDOL & GII.
Facilitates the development of individual employment plan. Conducts skills assessments of participants. Makes Community Service Training assignments based on IEP. Ensures participants' files are maintained according to program guidelines. Ensures each participant obtains the training appropriate for success. Ensures each participant moves into unsubsidized employment. Completes all necessary paperwork. Refers participants to community resources and services, as appropriate. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree preferred; prefer a degree in human services, workforce development, career counseling, public relations, or related field. Must have experience in, and/ or knowledge of working with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including those with different levels of academic preparation. Must be flexible, multi-task orientated and able to prioritize job duties with minimal supervision, including flexibility of work hours. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must be versatile and willing to work with a variety of people. Must have proficient computer skills necessary to perform job duties. Must have the ability to communicate well both orally and written. Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
