Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Waiver Specialist to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing Medicaid waiver programs that enable individuals to access necessary behavioral health and social services. Your expertise will help empower clients by coordinating services, ensuring compliance, and supporting workforce development initiatives. Managing Waivers for In-home and Vocational programs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Responsibilities Assist clients in navigating Medicaid waiver programs, including application processes and ongoing eligibility requirements Coordinate with behavioral health providers, social workers, addiction counselors, and other service providers to develop personalized care plans Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to waiver services and documentation Conduct assessments utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to identify client needs and goals Support crisis management efforts by providing immediate assistance and connecting clients with appropriate resources Maintain accurate records of service delivery, progress notes, and required documentation in client files Collaborate with workforce development initiatives to enhance service delivery efficiency and staff training Qualifications Strong knowledge of Section 8 housing programs, Medicaid waivers, or similar social service programs Experience or training in addiction counseling, behavioral health, or social work preferred Proficiency in motivational interviewing and crisis management techniques Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation accuracy Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and community partners Effective communication skills to engage clients and stakeholders clearly and empathetically Relevant certifications or licenses in social work, behavioral health, or related fields are a plus Join us in making a positive impact by supporting individuals through comprehensive waiver services!
