Job Description

Anticipated Opening-Position is contingent on funding and student enrollment School Spring #5706267 Summer program:
ESY Special Education Work Dates/Hours:
June 29th to August 6th Monday - Thursday-weekly planning meetings as well as Pre and Post-Work 7:45 am - 2:15 pm Subject to change based on student enrollment; start and stop times
Work Location:
Bartlett School & Assessment Center Salary:
$30.00/hour (if for any reason the candidate selected does not complete the appointment, compensation will be prorated based upon time served)
Organizational Relationship or Line of Authority:
Works under the supervision of the Building Principal for day-to-day operations, the Director of Special Education and the Assistant Director of Special Education.
Statement of Duties:
Works with a team of educators to support the overall vocational learning for our students. Assist and supervises the placement of special education students in the work place in the community. Monitors work sites for appropriate students. Works collaboratively with businesses to provide assistance regarding work-related issues. Assists and supports students with portfolio development. Works with students on prerequisite skills for vocationa Provides transportation training using community resources. Maintains records regarding performance evaluations, work schedules, salaries, and employer information. Responsible to present student performance/assessments in progress meetings.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience with high school special education students and/or vocational programs. Demonstrated experience working with business community partnerships. Bachelor Degree preferred. Demonstrated experience working in the food service industry. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
