Peabody, MA Rate of Pay:
$23.84 per hour; plus a $40 additional bi-weekly stipend for fluency in
Spanish Schedule :
40 Hours per week; Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm or 9:00am-5:00pm
Summary:
Works with referrals from the Department of Developmental Services supporting people with vocational supports in securing employment, maintaining employment and striving towards independence with community-based employment. Case manage and develop employment relationships between clients and community employers, providing access to an array of employment, job training, and educational opportunities. Work closely with State funding sources in a collaborative team approach. Assist clients with a variety of job seeking skills; resume writing, interview skills, travel training and job etiquette. Get creative with providing; vocational guidance, job development, job placement, job coaching and customer relations with employer. Qualifications:
High School/GED or Hi-SET plus 1-2 years related experience OR Associate's degree plus 1 year related experience and/or training. One year of human service experience desired. Knowledge of and respect for diverse populations. Flunecy in Spanish is a plus but not required.
Requirements:
Ability to use computers to include Microsoft Word, data entry, email, and internet essential. Must have a valid driver's license, 3 years driving experience, good driving record, use of vehicle and willingness to transport participants in personal vehicle. Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, offices and community organizations.
