Job Description:
Provide instruction and grading assistance in McDaniel Commitment courses such as My Career, support student advising, CEO programs and events, and assist with administrative tasks.
Specific Responsibilities:
-Assisting in instruction of credit-bearing undergraduate coursework associated with the McDaniel Commitment. Creating course content Facilitating class discussion Providing feedback and guidance to students enrolled in the course Organizing events associated with the course Grading submitted coursework. In this instructor role, this GA will be mentored by a staff member of the CEO to receive guidance for effective instruction. -Support the CEO student advising, programming and other administrative tasks as needed. Conduct 1:1 appointments with students regarding internship/job search, resume and cover letter reviews, graduate school search and application reviews Provide overview of CEO services and resources to students, faculty, and staff, and promote CEO supported workshops and events to students and the college community Maintain records and data in Handshake, the CEO's online database Staff CEO tabling events at various campus locations Support marketing efforts (e.g., disseminate marketing and promotional materials throughout campus) Support the CEO Ambassador Program and assist with new student recruitment Provide professional development training to student workers Work on special projects and provide support to staff, programs and services, including research.
Requirements:
Enrolled in a graduate program at McDaniel College in counseling, human resources, or a related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable with public speaking. Demonstrate initiative, time management and attention to detail. Proficient in MS Office Suite Professional demeanor is a must
