Family Support Specialist Location:
York County; Biddeford, ME Full-Time 30 hours per week $5,000 Sign‑
On Bonus Salary:
Starting Rate 20.80 an hour Do you have a passion for supporting families and helping young children thrive? YCCAC Head Start is seeking a compassionate and motivated Family Liaison to partner with families and connect them to resources that support their children's growth, health, and success. Why Join YCCAC Head Start? $5,000 sign‑on bonus for external applicants ($1,000 after months 3, 6, and 9; $2,000 after one year) Paid time off and holidays School‑year schedule with school breaks Comprehensive benefits: health, dental, vision, life insurance Retirement plan with employer match Paid training and professional development What You'll Do Support families in setting goals and accessing community resources Assist with recruitment and enrollment Partner with staff to strengthen family engagement Help families meet health requirements and coordinate referrals Conduct home and center visits (minimum two home visits per year) Participate in evening meetings and outreach as needed What We're Looking For High School diploma or GED required (associate's degree in human services preferred) Experience working with families or individuals Willingness to complete the Online Family Partner Certificate Program (paid by employer) Reliable transportation and ability to travel Required immunizations (MMR, TDaP) and background checks Make a difference every day by supporting families and shaping children's futures.
