Academic Year Requirements:
Associate's degree or min of 60 college credits Experience in working with at-risk youth in an urban, multicultural community Experience with customer service or interpersonal services Criminal History background check Successful recommendation resources Pre-employment physical may be required
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree or higher in education or human services Multiple years of experience working with at-risk students in a school setting Bilingual English/Spanish with oral and written language fluency in both languages.
Qualifications:
Excellent organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Extensive training/experience in relevant youth work. Demonstrated soft skills as an employee:

  • -Punctual
  • -Positive reviews of past performance
  • -Positive and respectful attitude and conduct toward all people Availability to work outside of the school day.
Ability to use technology as it applies to the performance of duties.

Salary/Benefits:
Commensurate with credentials and level of experience and in accordance with MPS salary schedule. Full time 40 hours/week.
Starting range:
$39,412.00
  • 58,503.00.
  • This position is supported either partially or fully through grant funding. Continued employment in this role is contingent upon the availability of such funding. If the grant funding is reduced, discontinued, or eliminated, the position may be reduced or eliminated accordingly.
