Job Summary:
The IPS Employment Coordinator at MRCI is responsible for providing leadership and coordination to a team of IPS Employment Specialists. This position will also support a caseload of individuals receiving Benefit Coaching Services by ensuring that their overall needs are met. Using effective coordination, the IPS Employment Coordinator ensures that the team members receive adequate IPS training to support the clients and their Mental Health treatment teams. The IPS Employment Coordinator hires staff, completes performance evaluations and provides guidance to the team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures the delivery of quality and individualized services which meet vocational rehabilitation standards, CARF regulations, and IPS Grant Fidelity standards. Prepares and submits an Annual Budget and forecasting of operating expenses and equipment needs. Provide and maintain accurate program participant tracking to the IPS Team at DEED. This includes monthly and quarterly reports. Accuracy is key due to Fidelity Grant standards. Prepares and updates annual IPS Grant for ongoing IPS funding. Ensures critical information is effectively communicated with staff, treatment team, county personnel, and VRS. Staying up to date on requirements and following IPS fidelity standards in order to determine and support the planning process that best meets the needs of the participant. This includes, but is not limited to, completing monthly field mentoring with staff and attending adult mental health treatment team meetings. Facilitates reoccurring Fidelity Reviews and IPS Steering Committee meetings and assists with progress for IPS Grant Fidelity. Help benefit coaching caseload and additional employment program participants make informed decisions by helping plan for benefits and work. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with MRCI s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include:
interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; providing performance feedback; rewarding, coaching, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems Follow Fidelity standards by completing monthly field mentoring with staff and attending adult mental health treatment team meetings within Fidelity standards.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience working with persons with mental health disabilities or related conditions and one of the following qualifications: Bachelor s Degree in a human services related field plus one year of full-time work. Associate s Degree in a human services related field plus two years of full-time work. Diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution plus three years of full-time work. Four years of full-time work experience under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications listed above and a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities. The individual must also have at least two years of supervisory, budget, and program management experience. Prefer to reside in Blue Earth, Nicollet, Le Sueur, Brown, or Sibley counties Have completed or willing to complete Benefits Coaching Certification to become a Level 3 Benefits Coach Working knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong leadership skills, ability to communicate ideas effectively, problem solve, demonstrate organizational skills, multi-task and have proficiency in computer based office software.
