HMGT 4300/4301
•Advanced Food Productivity and Service Management. Teaching assistants must have outstanding skills in interacting with undergraduate students and be proficient in teaching, training, and coaching students. This course is a required component of the Hospitality Management (HMGT) core curriculum, making strong culinary knowledge and technical food preparation skills essential. The position plays a key role in guiding students through hands-on learning experiences, reinforcing foundational techniques in food preparation, presentation, and service. Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with demonstrating food preparation techniques Support evaluation of student-produced food products Provide guidance and feedback to undergraduate students in a lab setting Reinforce principles of food safety, presentation, and service
Preferred Qualifications:
ground in Hospitality Management or a related field Experience in food preparation, culinary arts, or food service operations Strong academic performance (GPA considerations may ) Prior tutoring, training, or mentoring experience preferred
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy Patience and perseverance when working with students Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced lab environment Special Instructions to Applicant Please upload your resume online.
