Personal Enrichment Coordinator 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars 2100 Silas Creek Pky, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 Part-time Forsyth Technical Community College 141 reviews Part-time The Coordinator of Personal Enrichment Programs is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and maintenance of designated Personal Enrichment classes. This role involves managing a diverse range of classes, including personal enrichment classes and summer camps. The Coordinator will collaborate with the Vice President of Transfer Excellence and Success to develop new programs, recruit instructors, and ensure the effective execution of classes. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
Note:
Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a United States Department of Education accepted accrediting agency, such as SACSCOC. Experience in developing and coordinating community education, continuing education, or personal enrichment programs, or experience collaborating with local businesses, organizations, or community groups to create and promote programs. Strong communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous community college experience A Bachelor's degree. Essential Duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordination of Classes:
Coordinate personal enrichment classes and summer camps. Assist in the development of new programs and classes. Recruit, hire, and supervise part-time instructors for various classes. Orient new instructors to job responsibilities and college operations. Schedule and set up classes in the College's course management system, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely submission of required paperwork. Coordinate and collaborate in the development of marketing strategies to promote available courses.
Community Relations:
Establish and maintain positive community relations with civic groups, businesses, and governmental agencies. Engage with area businesses and organizations to create classes. Be alert to public relations opportunities and use these to promote the college and the department.
Budget and Resource Management:
Assist administration in preparing and monitoring budgets for personal enrichment classes. Procure and manage supplies, textbooks, equipment, and instructional materials. Safeguard and maintain an accurate inventory of instructional equipment.
Curriculum Development:
Maintain, review, and update course descriptions, objectives, and outlines. Participate in departmental activities to revise and update programs. Contribute to the development of new courses.
