Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Master's Degree or 5 years of demonstrated experience in a related field. Multilingual language skills preferred but not required. Experience with team facilitation and action planning. Knowledge of, and demonstrated experience with, Multi-Tiered System of Support for Behavioral Health (MTSS-B) framework, Public Health models, and/or New Hampshire Children's System of Care Experience establishing working relationships with community and/or state agencies that support youth behavioral health and/or staff well-being.
Specific Core Functions:
The Multi-Tiered System of Support for Behavioral Health (MTSS-B) District Coach may function in different capacities based on where they are supporting in the MTSS-B framework and system. At Tier 1, the Coach will lead schoolwide Tier 1 teams with planning and implementing schoolwide systems and practices for behavioral health promotion and violence prevention in each school. The Coach will engage team members, including students in secondary schools, in the process of building a strong foundation for schoolwide mental health promotion and school safety. At Tiers 2-3, the Coach will assist where designated by the MTSS-B Director to collect data and coordinate training for school staff who support student behavioral health with targeted or intensive interventions. With the supervision of the MTSS-B Director, the Coach may lead or coordinate State or Federal grant activities that support student behavior and mental health, school safety, and staff well-being. Responsibilities of the Position(s): Tier 1
Team Coaching:
Travel to schools across the District based on school assignment;Facilitate MTSS-B Tier 1 Team meetings, and lead the teams through planning, implementing, and evaluating their schoolwide systems and practices for behavioral health, school safety, and staff well-being.
All Areas of Coaching:
Follow the MTSS-B evaluation schedule and provide technical assistance, facilitating the completion of assessments and supporting teams with evaluation of implementation and outcome data for student behavior, discipline, attendance, school climate, and staff well-being and action planning to address areas of need. Provide technical assistance to teams to evaluate student outcomes for behavioral health equity, including monthly review of disaggregated office discipline referral data and suspension data to screen for disproportionate and exclusionary discipline practices among historically marginalized youth. Provide technical assistance to teams to review behavioral health access data, screening for disparities in access to the Tier 2-3 Behavioral Health Intervention Team for connection to higher tiered supports and referral to community services. Collect and manage data to support the MTSS-B system, federal grants, & state grants. Provide MTSS-B related professional development or staff well-being activities as needed to support school teams, administrators, and teaching staff. Coordinate staff and student training that supports student behavioral health. Communicate from the schools to the MTSS-B Director gaps/needs based on data that may need District level support or resources to address. Supervisory Responsibilities -

Committees as assigned by MTSS-B Director Training and professional development as assigned by MTSS-B Director Participate in MTSS-B related conferences as assigned by the MTSS-B Director and based on availability of funds.
Essential Physical Abilities:
Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to communicate effectively. Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to review a wide variety of materials in electronic or hardcopy form. Sufficient manual dexterity with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to operate a personal computer, telephone and related equipment. Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to function within the general office environment. Valid driver's license to travel to schools.
Specified Length/Hours of Position:
This is a non-affiliated 228-day salaried position and is contingent upon grant funding.
Evaluation:
Evaluation of this position shall be by the MTSS-B Director in accordance with the provisions of the Board of School Committee's policy on Evaluation of Administrative Personnel.
