Job Description

Rider University invites applications for a Career Pathways & Relations Coordinator in the Center for Career Development and Success (CDS) who will work in a team-based environment to execute employer relations strategies, objectives and initiatives for College of Humanities, Science & Education (CHSE) programs. The successful candidate will maximize student success and outcomes by expanding Career Development & Success initiatives (internships, scholarships, performance-based program/projects, etc.) and full-time employment opportunities. Specifically, the individual will be responsible for: Identifying, initiating and building relationships with regional, state and national organizations to promote Rider's College of Humanities, Science, & Education (CHSE) students, developing robust partnerships, and shape internships, experiential learning opportunities, and jobs; Marketing the skills and competencies of Rider students to attract a wide array of employers; Conducting research to develop a general knowledge and understanding of skills, experience and competencies employers seek for jobs/fields aligned with majors, professions and artistic areas; Maintaining a database inputting, updating, analyzing and reporting data; and Collaborating with CDS team members to deliver innovative programs, media, workshops and other opportunities to help students learn more about given professional area of focus. Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of work experience in a sciences, humanities, or education focused organization OR a university career services setting. A dynamic, professional demeanor with exceptional organization, written, and presentation skills. Ability to exercise independent judgment and build collaborations. Ability to work independently, plan work assignments, set priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to work evenings and weekends when needed. Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required. Master's degree. Familiarity/comfort with computers and databases Experience with college recruiting, from a higher education or HR perspective
