Supervisory Role Oral and written supervision is received from Dean of Community, Continuing Education, and Workforce Development or designee. The Director of Pre-College Readiness, Dual Enrollment Programs and Extension Centers supervises professional staff, adjunct instructors, support staff and student workers. Duties & Responsibilities 1. Identify new high schools to establish partnerships for offering dual enrollment with both credit and CTE (Career & Technical Education) programs. 2. Design programs, develop curricula and recruit students for Summer and/or Weekend Offerings, such as the College Readiness Now grant and other opportunities for high school students. 3. Conduct data analyses to document trends in dual enrollment opportunities as well as other credit offerings at FOCUS or managed by the department. 4. Work with public school districts to ensure overall compliance with partnership and funding contracts. Submit required reports, select program candidates when required and monitor billing procedures. 5. Supervise the administration of intake, registration, testing, orientation, and special events related to dual enrollment and other areawide offerings for credit and non-credit. 6. Identify, recommend, and supervise instructional staff in partnership with chairpersons of the academic divisions. 7. Develop and maintain any applicable grant or revenue budgets in accordance with college regulations and procedures. 8. Publicize and enhance visibility of the Pre-College Readiness and Dual Enrollment Programs by interacting with representatives of school districts throughout Essex County including principals, counselors, teachers, and other personnel, participating in high school districts' meetings, scheduling high school Open Houses and counselors' meetings, and other related activities. 9. Prepare correspondence as well as generate statistical, financial, enrollment, graduation and other reports containing findings, conclusions, and recommendations on offerings and program outcomes. 10. Design and implement orientations for students, counselors, or staff involved in the pre-college or dual enrollment offerings. 11. Supervise the accurate preparation of requisitions, pay forms, class lists and attendance rosters. 12. Maintain strict confidentiality of program records. 13. Prepare routine, special, and ancillary reports as required. 14. Perform other related duties as assigned. Bend, twist, climb, push, pull, and lift. Additional Requirements Minimum Qualifications Experience (number of years), Knowledge and/or Abilities 1. Master's degree in business or computer science or related academic field. 2. Experience administering credit registration including the monitoring of attendance, development and application of curriculum and instruction. 3. Demonstrated knowledge of managing programs including billing, funding, and writing of reports. 4. Strong Organizational Skills. 5. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Education Requirements Master's Degree Licenses and Certifications (including e.g., CPR, first aid, driver's license, etc.) Preferred Qualifications Experience (number of years), Knowledge and/or Abilities 1. Master's degree in business and/or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) related items. 2. Extensive Banner knowledge, particularly the student registration module. 3. Five or more years of experience in coordinating young adult programs. 4. Five or more years of experience of coordinating dual enrollment credit and non-credit offerings for high school students. 5. Five or more years' experience administering training models, including the development and application of curriculum and instruction. 6. Experience instructing and supervising activities for clients who may be either economically and/or educationally disadvantaged.
