Responsibilities Provides direct care and supports to up to five residents, including supervision, meal preparation and transportation to appointments and activities. Assists with the development and implementation of individualized treatment for each resident. Collaboratives with team members to ensure consistent and effective delivery of therapeutic care. Participates in staff meetings, trainings, and other career development activities. Maintains accurate and complete resident records, including progress notes and incident reports. Qualifications:
A high school or high school equivalency diploma and one year of experience working with individuals with I/DD in a group setting; OR An associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a field that is unrelated to social work or psychology and six months' experience working with individuals with I/DD in a group setting; OR An associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology or a related field In addition, the ideal Youth Support Worker Is knowledgeable of child development, behavior management, and therapeutic techniques. Can work both independently and as part of a team. Will exhibit excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Has a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
