Assigned School Summary:
The CTE Coordinator will be responsible for implementing & coordinating Career and Technical Education Programs across the Central Consolidated School District. This position provides centralized leadership and strategic oversight to ensure that the district's CTE efforts remain coherent, sustainable, and truly transformative for students. This charge is to be accomplished by working cooperatively with CCSD Directors, Coordinators, principals, teachers, parents, and instructional assistants. The CTE Coordinator will share in the development, application, and enforcement of local school and administrative policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide centralized leadership and strategic oversight to develop and expand high-quality CTE pathways. Align district programs with regional workforce needs, ensuring strong integration among secondary, postsecondary, and workforce systems. Cultivate, develop, and maintain industry and community partnerships. Oversee and expand work-based learning and internship opportunities for students. Manage, prepare, oversee, and maintain assigned program budgets, including comprehensive grant management, tracking, and reporting. Ensure strict program compliance and fulfillment of all state reporting requirements. Coordinate equipment, facilities, and overall program resources across the district. Lead student recruitment efforts and streamline pathway communication to stakeholders. Support teacher credentialing and coordinate impactful staff professional development. Support district and school efforts to keep CCSD safe and secure. Demonstrate foresight, examine issues, and take initiative to improve the quality of education in the school community. Embrace and encourage the acceptance of diversity. Embrace the implementation of bilingual education and English Language Learner (ELL) programs. Use effective communication skills to ensure student success. Provide and maintain a positive environment/climate where optimal student growth can take place. Demonstrate leadership and an understanding of the dynamics of the educational organization. Complete and implement action plans, inclusive of data, and maintain updates as required. Supervise and support assigned program or office staff. Meet the coordinator competencies and indicators of the District's evaluation criteria. Work productively with district departments, administrators, supervisors, staff, students, parents, and community members. Confer with students, parents, teachers, law enforcement officers, and representatives of social welfare agencies to resolve serious student academic, attendance, and behavior problems. Demonstrate adherence to established timelines and procedures. Orient new staff, students, and parents to program and school processes. Establish and maintain a positive relationship with the local school community to foster understanding and support the overall school program. Implement the CCSD-approved curriculum and student assessment plans. Work with NMPED and District partners to implement Career and Technical Education programming districtwide. Use data to drive improvement in all areas. Implement and attend effective and consistent Professional Learning Communities. Maintain program guidelines and ensure that all assigned employees are accountable for CCSD and school policies. Comply with all Board of Education policies, administrative regulations, and Public Education Department guidelines, local, state, and federal laws. Support the maintenance of the School Safety Handbook. Practice ethical standards appropriate to the profession and resolve issues ethically; promote a climate of collaboration and collegiality. Adhere to the NM Code of Ethical Responsibility of the Education Profession (NMAC 6.60.9.8). Other duties as assigned, reasonably related to the scope of the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or above in educational administration or a related field
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of Diné language, culture, and history is preferred. Teaching experience in public schools. Prior administrative or coordinator experience preferred. The ability to handle fast-paced environments and multitask under pressure. The ability to remain calm and respond professionally in stressful situations. The ability to lead, motivate, and work with different personality styles.
Physical/Job Requirements:
Standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying up to 50 pounds, climbing, bending, reaching, kneeling, driving a vehicle, traveling long distances, writing, typing, word processing, reading, researching information, and effective communication skills.

Equipment/Material Handled:
