Northern Nevada Member Assistance Program Apprenticeship Navigator Northern Nevada Member Assistance Program Reno, NV Job Details Full-time $65,000 - $72,500 a year 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Spanish English Case management Client services Full Job Description Position Summary The Northern Nevada Member Assistance Program Navigator supports individuals who are interested in entering or participating in Northern Nevada registered apprenticeship programs affiliated with the AFL-CIO. This position provides case management, intake follow up, reentry and post release support, Pathway to Placement support, outreach assistance, and resource navigation. The Navigator helps participants identify barriers, connect with supportive services, complete next steps, and stay engaged with approved apprenticeship and workforce pathways. This role also supports PASS and voucher related processes through documentation, coordination, follow up, and case management updates in accordance with NNVMAP policies. Key Duties and Responsibilities Conduct intake needs assessments for participants and identifies barriers related to housing, food, transportation, childcare, mental health, substance use, domestic violence, reentry, documentation, employment readiness, and apprenticeship participation. Conduct a trades skills readiness assessment to help identify which apprenticeship pathway may be best suited to the individual's skills, interests, work readiness, and long term career goals. Develop case plans, provide referrals and warm handoffs, monitor progress, and support participant follow through. Assist with PASS and voucher related supportive service processes, including documentation collection, voucher coordination, approval status tracking, referral follow up, and required case notes. Follow up with individuals who submit interest forms through outreach events, career fairs, partner referrals, website forms, or other approved Pathway to Placement channels. Schedule and conduct participant meetings to explain NNVMAP services, apprenticeship basics, supportive service options, and referral pathways. Help participants connect with appropriate apprenticeship programs, training halls, JATC coordinators, workforce partners, reentry organizations, or approved community contacts. Attend career fairs, resource fairs, partner events, Pathway to Placement events, apprenticeship outreach events, presentations, and training hall visits as needed. Maintain accurate records in approved NNVMAP systems, including Monday.com when applicable. Document participant outcomes, referrals, PASS activity, voucher coordination, follow up activity, service status, pending items, and next steps. Protect confidential participant information and follow NNVMAP policies, approval steps, documentation standards, and reporting requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, psychology, workforce development, or a related field, or equivalent experience. At least 3 years of experience in case management, client services, workforce development, reentry support, outreach, placement navigation, or community based programs preferred. Knowledge of community resources related to housing, food security, transportation, childcare, mental health, substance use support, reentry services, workforce development, and supportive services. Strong communication, presentation, follow up, organization, problem solving, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently in office and community settings while maintaining consistent communication with leadership and partners. Experience with data entry, records, case management systems, participant tracking, or reporting systems. Driver's license and reliable transportation. Bilingual English and Spanish is required. Working Conditions Work occurs primarily in an office setting with frequent community interaction. Local travel may be required for partner meetings, training hall visits, career fairs, outreach events, presentations, apprenticeship sites, and client meetings. Professional Standards Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries. Use respectful, nonjudgmental, trauma informed communication. Represent NNVMAP professionally with participants, apprentices, partners, and the public. Use approved NNVMAP materials and messaging when sharing program information. Maintain complete, timely, and accurate documentation for case management, reentry, PASS, voucher, Pathway to Placement, and outreach activity. Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with the Executive Director regarding participant needs, urgent issues, follow up activity, outreach, PASS or voucher related activity, and partner coordination. Seek Executive Director guidance when additional review, approval, clarification, or support is needed.
