Job Coach Positions, Compass JCCA The JCCA Compass Project is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team of professionals! Interested applicants should share our passion for supporting and assisting teens who have challenges related to Autism Spectrum Disorder, Social and Communication Disorder and Learning Disabilities. We strive to educate and model the skills needed to be successful in the work environment and provide ongoing onsite supportive counseling as the teens learn, develop and become more independent. We are looking for staff that can devote anywhere from 15-20 hours a week to work with teens throughout Westchester.
  • Job coaching shifts needed Monday- Sunday (morning, afternoon, or evenings)
Essential Generic Job Functions:
  • Work side-by-side at the job site to train the individual on the job requirements and duties and to encourage the individual to work independently
  • Assist with job related skills such as socializing with co-workers, accepting supervision and taking breaks.
  • Begin to fade as the student becomes more proficient and requires less job coach intervention
Knowledge, Education and Skills Required:
  • Must have flexible schedule with own transportation
  • Experience working with young adults, children or adolescents
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
Knowledge, Education and Skills Preferred:
  • Working on a bachelor's degree in a related field (Education, Social Work, Psychology) preferred
Salary:
