A Career Counselor works with adults of all ages to plan career choices and access the education and training needed to support a career. Gives skills assessment and aptitude tests to clients. Provides job search assistance or training for general workplace skills. Provides referrals for workplace literacy, academic or job training programs, or direct job referrals.

Pay Range:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour depending on education and experience
Position Summary:
Instructors will design and teach classes in both group and one-on-one settings as needed for participants with autism and other disabilities to help them achieve their goals. The instructor will also see to administrative and reporting tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Directly provides and facilitates instruction and oversight to participants with various abilities in a classroom or/and community-based or 1:1 settings, and virtually as needed Manages volunteers, interns, community partners, instructors and support staff May communicate with participants and families on scheduling and other matters as needed Assists in ensuring supplies and equipment are adequate and up-to-date Tracks participants' progress and communicates accordingly with stakeholders including families Responsible for the supervision and safety of program participants Helps facilitate social interactions between participants in the program Participates on the programming team's behalf at AU events and functions, as needed Participate in various team meetings to advance continuous assessment and improvement, and to further collaborative efforts Attends training and professional development functions Manages reporting as needed, including notes, metrics, incident reports and notables
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required, master's degree in relevant field and/or related certifications preferred Experience working with individuals with ASD or other disabilities Teaching experience strongly preferred A valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation to AutismUp and off-site locations in Greater Rochester area are required About the
