Full Job Description Position Summary:
Provide employment related assistance to clients using a strengths based approach. Utilize established protocols, curriculum and resources to help clients find and maintain employment that ensures a path to self-sufficiency. Assist clients in transportation to interviews and other job related events.Position Description:
Meet with clients individually or in a group to assess needs related to employment Complete screening, assessment, and documentation related to employment history, skills and abilities, vocational goals, and identifying strengths and barriers Facilitate skills development, assist clients with resume writing, job seeking plans and obtaining necessary identification Provide services in advocacy, financial planning, referral and linkage to community resources Provide vocational planning and training opportunities based on knowledge of local employment resources and client ability, needs and circumstances. Transport clients as necessary in agency vehicles Efficiently operates personal computer to enter and/or retrieve data Accurately prepare required reports and services plans using agency software system Work to prevent and resolve client/employer problems as needed Collaborate with other program staff to ensure client needs are met Conduct employment verifications, documents services delivered and conducts follow-up Other duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of local employment market opportunities, barriers and trends Understanding of potential client circumstances that may impact employment opportunities Knowledge of educational and vocational appraisal techniques Accurate, timely recordkeeping and attention to detail Ability to resolve/deescalate crises; use crisis intervention skills and anticipate/prevent crises relating to clients Foster spirit of teamwork and positive work environment Comply with Code of Ethics, Conflict of Interest other and regulatory policies and proceduresJob Requirements:
Associate's Degree in related field, bachelor's degree preferred 1-2 years experience in workforce development and facilitation Will need to be available to work some nights and weekend hours Valid driver's license and auto insuranceEssential Functions/Physical Demands:
Positional:
Frequent standing, sitting and walking (at least 1/4 mile at times). Driving in accordance with the job duties assigned.Gross Mobility:
