Job Description

Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and motivated Success Coach to join our Community Impact team in East Liverpool, Ohio. The Success Coach works directly with individuals seeking employment, greater independence, and long-term success. This position helps participants identify their goals, overcome barriers, connect with community resources, and develop the skills needed to obtain and maintain meaningful employment. Key Responsibilities Build supportive, professional relationships with program participants. Conduct intake interviews and assess each participant's strengths, needs, interests, and employment goals. Work with participants to develop individualized service and employment plans. Provide ongoing coaching, encouragement, and accountability. Help participants prepare résumés, complete applications, practice interviewing, and develop workplace readiness skills. Connect participants with transportation, housing, education, healthcare, childcare, and other community resources when needed. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential participant records and case notes. Track participant progress, employment outcomes, retention, and other required program measures. Communicate with employers, referral partners, and community organizations to support participant success. Conduct follow-up services after job placement. Participate in outreach activities, community events, and program meetings. Perform other duties that support the mission and goals of Youngstown Area Goodwill. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Relevant experience in case management, employment services, coaching, social services, or workforce development may be considered in place of a degree. Strong communication, relationship-building, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds who may be experiencing significant barriers to employment. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and protect confidential information. Comfortable using computers and electronic case-management or recordkeeping systems. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel locally as needed. Must be able to meet applicable background-check and program requirements. Schedule This is a full-time position based in East Liverpool, Ohio . The schedule is generally Monday through Friday during daytime hours. Some flexibility may be required to accommodate participant schedules, community events, or program needs.
