Job Description

About the Team Gateway Online Academy of Ohio provides a tuition-free, online high school experience for students in grades 9-12. As a Dropout Prevention and Recovery school, Gateway offers a flexible, self-paced environment designed to help students overcome obstacles and earn their high school diploma on their own terms. The Data Analysis Coach supports educators and staff in using data to inform instructional practices, improve student outcomes, and guide decision-making. This role focuses on building staff capacity in data literacy, analysis, and application through coaching, professional development, and collaborative planning. Please note
  • while this is an online school position and all instruction occurs virtually, travel and face to face attendance will be required several times per year to support in person state testing and student events.
ELIGIBILITY
Open to residents of Ohio. About the Opportunity Provide ongoing coaching and support to teachers, administrators, and staff on data analysis and interpretation. Facilitate the use of student performance data to inform instructional strategies and interventions. Develop and deliver professional development sessions on data literacy, assessment analysis, and data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with school leadership teams to establish data protocols, systems, and cycles of inquiry. Assist in the collection, organization, and analysis of academic and operational data. Support the development and monitoring of school improvement plans using data metrics. Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate data insights clearly. Model best practices in data use during team meetings, PLCs (Professional Learning Communities), and instructional planning sessions. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with applicable privacy regulations. Perform other duties as assigned to support data-informed practices across the organization. About You Bachelor's degree in education, Data Analytics, Statistics, Educational Leadership, or a related field (required). Master's degree in a related field (preferred). No state-issued license required. A valid teaching or administrative license is preferred but not required. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in education, data analysis, or a related field. Demonstrated experience working with student achievement data and assessment systems. Experience providing coaching, training, or professional development to adults (preferred). Strong knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, data dashboards, or BI tools). Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for educators. Excellent communication and facilitation skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of educational assessments, accountability systems, and instructional practices. Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

The compensation and benefits information below is accurate as of the date of this posting. The Company reserves the right to modify this information at any time, with or without notice, subject to applicable law. The annual starting salary for this position is between $45,000
