Main Campus General Job Description:

A Career Technical Laboratory Assistant assists in guiding and directing students in the career technical laboratory or classroom, performing duties directly related to their field of expertise.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree in related area preferred Holds credential for designated career-technical laboratory (preferred) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Strong organizational and technology skills Hold a valid Ohio Educator's licensure or permit (or be willing to obtain) Must pass a criminal background check Hold a valid Ohio Driver's License

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide Direct Student Support Assist small groups of students in career technical laboratory/related classroom Assist with preparation of instructional materials and processes for laboratory activities Assist with keeping student attendance and performance records Assist with maintaining inventory of instructional materials and equipment and perform minor maintenance of equipment Attend field trips related to the assigned career-technical laboratory setting Assist with program orientation for new students Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional Ability to administer basic first aid Notify teacher if student is not meeting classroom goals Other duties as assigned
