Life Builders is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Employment Specialist. The Employment Specialist position is both meaningful and rewarding, offering the opportunity to make a significant positive impact on someone's life.
Description:
The Employment Specialist is responsible for supporting individuals with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining employment. The Employment Specialist will provide individualized coaching, training, and support to help individuals develop the skills necessary for successful employment. This role involves working closely with individuals, employers, and support teams to ensure a positive and productive work experience.General responsibilities:
Analyze individuals' interests and abilities. Assist individuals in researching their field of interest. Help them identify the currentemployer requirements. Review job seekers' resumes and cover letters. Provide constructive feedback forupdating the resume if necessary. Ensure individuals are interview ready by providing interview preparation and practice. Assist individuals in seeking appropriate employment opportunities based on interestand abilities. Assess individuals in the workplace. Provide constructive feedback on their performanceto ensure they are meeting employer expectations. Identify potential problem areas andwork to correct them. Email the individual's team as necessary to inform of any issues or accomplishmentsduring the job development or job coaching process. Maintain professional appearance and conduct self in a professional manner whenrepresenting Life Builders at any time during the job development/coaching process. Submit billing and documentation as necessary. Other duties as deemed by management.Preferred Competencies:
Be an excellent communicator. Be a team player. Be comfortable working with people of different age groups, backgrounds, and abilities. Possess strong analytical skills. Be proficient in researching the job market to identify employment opportunities within a job seeker's community. Have a pleasing personality and the ability to develop confidence in job seekers. Be capable of managing multiple individuals to employer standard. Be self-motivated and able to work independently.Pay:
