REQUIREMENTS
  • High School diploma/GED
  • 18 years or older
  • Pass a background check
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for occasional transportation of customers.
  • Pass DMV records check.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule that may have frequent changes.
  • Comfortable with bending, squatting, light lifting, and standing for long periods of time.
  • Participate in employer-provided training on an ongoing basis, including First Aid/ CPR and OIS certification.
JOB DUTIES
  • Work in the field independently in the community and as part of a team.
  • Drive to the client's location using your own vehicle; reimbursed for approved trips at 75 cents per mile.
  • Utilize positive verbal and social supports to help teach customers with developmental disabilities a variety of skills in competitive community employment positions.
  • Complete daily documentation, at the end of each client's shift; progress towards skills acquisition and monitoring customer's job performance, while maintaining independence in their position. Staff are issued iPads to use to get this completed at the end of each client shift.
  • Identify opportunities for and develop natural supports in the work environment to enhance integration, independence, and facilitate communication with supervisors, co-workers, and the general public.
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with supervisors and/or management to ensure open communication between community partners.
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve any issues on the job site with a customer and/or supervisor.
  • Responsible for accurately completing monthly reports using computer/tablet in a timely manner.
  • Occasional transportation of customers to appointments and work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
HOURS:
Full time is 30 - 40 hours per week; part time hours are also available. Weekdays and weekends are expected, but graveyard/overnight shifts are not required.
Starting Pay:
$16.00 per hour plus, Depending on experience
