Recovery Specialist Uniontown, PA 1 DAYS AGO 22626280 Summary Uniontown, PA In-Person Competitive Salary 0 Years Experience High school graduate or equivalency certificate (GED) No Commission 37.50 hours per week / Day, Evening Shift / Full-Time Description Fayette County Drug and Alcohol Commission is seeking a full time Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) to be part of a collaborative team whose goal is to assist individuals with a Substance Use Disorder to remain in treatment, and achieve stability and independence. Applicant must have an understanding of and respect for each individual's unique path to recovery. Recovery Specialist must have a working knowledge of the drug and alcohol treatment system and a demonstrated commitment to the recovery community. The Recovery Specialist will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate and motivator to recovering individuals in order to help prevent relapse and promote long-term recovery. The Recovery Specialist must demonstrate an ability to share personal recovery experiences and to develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Must have at least 18 months of continued successful recovery. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to complete (or have completed) the Pennsylvania Certified Recovery Specialist training program as well as the Certification Board CRS examination. Pennsylvania Act 33 child abuse, Pennsylvania Act 34 criminal records check, and FBU criminal background check clearances are required. Must pass pre-employment, post-hire drug screen. CRS must be able to work both indpependently and collaborate with a team. A valid Pennsylvania driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle during work hours are also required. Must be computer literate with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. Competitive salary and benefit package.
