DME Scooters and More is seeking a RESNA-certified Assistive Technology Professional to join our growing mobility team in North Texas. We provide personalized mobility solutions with the responsiveness and accessibility of a local organization. Our ATPs work closely with patients, caregivers, therapists, physicians, and referral partners to ensure each individual receives the right equipment, clear communication, and dependable support throughout the process. Overview The Assistive Technology Professional will evaluate clients with complex mobility needs and recommend appropriate rehabilitation technology based on clinical findings, functional goals, physician orders, and environmental considerations. The ATP will manage each case from evaluation through final fitting and delivery, while collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to support accurate documentation, timely authorization, and a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, with experience in clinic settings and direct patient care. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing tailored assistive technology solutions. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive seating and mobility evaluations in homes, clinics, rehabilitation facilities, and other care settings. Assess functional mobility, posture, positioning, skin protection, transfers, accessibility, caregiver support, and long-term goals. Recommend and configure complex power and manual wheelchairs, seating and positioning systems, and related mobility equipment. Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, case managers, caregivers, and other members of the care team. Prepare accurate clinical documentation supporting medical necessity and payer requirements. Review chart notes, Standard Written Orders, and supporting documentation for completeness and compliance. Communicate documentation deficiencies clearly and work with referral partners to resolve missing or incomplete information. Coordinate equipment trials, final fittings, programming, adjustments, and follow-up. Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and maintenance of prescribed equipment. Develop and maintain professional relationships with therapists, physicians, hospitals, rehabilitation programs, senior communities, and other referral sources. Remain current on funding requirements, product developments, and industry best practices.

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with physical disabilities to determine their assistive technology needs Required Qualifications Active RESNA Assistive Technology Professional certification. Experience evaluating and recommending complex rehabilitation technology. Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance documentation requirements. Strong clinical reasoning, documentation, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clinical and operational teams. Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to travel throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Preferred Qualifications Two or more years of experience in complex rehabilitation technology, seating and positioning, or mobility equipment. Experience with power wheelchair programming and custom seating. Familiarity with a broad range of neurological, orthopedic, and mobility-related conditions. Established professional relationships within the North Texas rehabilitation community. Experience supporting referral development in a clinical or consultative environment.
