Weekly field learning experiences at partner locations throughout Greater Cleveland About the Role Breadwinners Academy seeks a dynamic Business Startup Coach to lead a project based entrepreneurship experience for high school students participating in the Dream Chasers Summer Program. The Business Startup Coach will serve as the day to day lead for student venture development, guiding participants from idea to launch through instruction, coaching, milestone tracking, and hands on support. This role will help students develop business plans, strengthen pitch presentations, build brand concepts, and prepare for a culminating entrepreneurship showcase. This position includes onboarding, preparation, and summer program delivery. Schedule Monday through Friday 10:00 AM to 3:00
PM Monday and Wednesday:
In person instruction at
John Carroll University Tuesday:
Coaching, grading, and venture support at COhatch and virtual
Thursday:
Field learning experiences and student support at partner locations
Friday:
Coaching, grading, and virtual business advising at COhatch and remote
Responsibilities Lead Instruction:
Facilitate entrepreneurship sessions focused on business ideation, customer discovery, branding, marketing, startup costs, pricing, and venture planning.
Student Venture Coaching:
Provide one on one and small group coaching to help students refine ideas, solve challenges, and advance their businesses.
Manage Student Progress:
Review assignments, track milestones, provide feedback, and support grading of student deliverables.
Support Field Learning:
Support weekly field trips and help students connect partner visits to their business development work.
Coordinate Guest Instructors:
Collaborate with entrepreneurs, banks, community partners, and guest instructors contributing to the program.
Support Student Deliverables:
Guide students in developing business plans, pitch presentations, logos, and launch readiness materials.
Program Operations:
Support attendance, student engagement, daily facilitation, and overall program flow.
Onboarding and Preparation:
Participate in curriculum orientation, planning meetings, partner coordination, and launch readiness activities prior to student program start.
Qualifications Required:
Demonstrated experience in business, entrepreneurship, small business development, startup coaching, consulting, or business operations Experience launching, operating, or supporting a business is required Experience working with youth or young adults Strong facilitation and coaching skills Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple student projects at one time Reliable transportation for field learning experiences Successful completion of a background check is required Preferred Familiarity with Canva, Google Workspace, and AI tools for business development Experience supporting project based or experiential learning environments Education Relevant business experience, entrepreneurial experience, and demonstrated ability to coach emerging entrepreneurs will be prioritized. Entrepreneurs, small business owners, consultants, and experienced practitioners are encouraged to apply.
