In this role, you will serve as a dedicated advocate, guiding clients through the employment process, developing personalized career plans, and connecting them with community resources. Your energetic approach will inspire confidence and motivate clients to achieve their employment goals while fostering an inclusive, supportive environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to impact workforce development initiatives directly and promote independence for diverse populations. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' skills, interests, and employment barriers to develop tailored employment plans. Provide coaching on resume writing, interview techniques, and job search strategies to empower clients in their employment journey. Facilitate job placements by recruiting and collaborating with local employers, ensuring mutually beneficial matches. Offer ongoing mentoring and support to clients, helping them navigate workplace challenges and sustain employment over time. Educate clients on employment & labor laws, workplace rights, and accommodations for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Coordinate training sessions on workforce development topics, including social work principles, addiction counseling, and mentoring skills. Maintain detailed records of client progress, employment outcomes, and engagement activities to ensure continuous improvement and compliance. Skills Strong knowledge of employment & labor law to advise clients accurately on their rights and responsibilities. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism to tailor support strategies effectively. Background in addiction counseling or social work to address diverse client needs holistically. Excellent interviewing, mentoring, recruiting, and training skills to foster professional growth and successful job placements. Ability to develop innovative workforce development programs that promote skill-building and independence. Effective communication skills for engaging with clients, employers, community partners, and team members.
