Full Job Description Location:

Remote (Ohio

•Cincinnati area) with frequent travel throughout the region to meet with students and support in-person testing.

Schedule:

Full-Time | 40 hours/week | 10-

Through flexibility, compassion, and personalized support, we help students reclaim their path to graduation.

Note:

While this is primarily a remote role, team members must be available for frequent travel within Ohio to meet with students and assist with required state testing.

What You'll Do:

As a Graduation Coach , you'll play a critical role in supporting students on their path to graduation by building relationships, monitoring progress, and helping remove barriers to success.

Your role will include:
Relationship Builder:

Develop strong, supportive connections with students through video calls, texts, virtual meetings, and online communication tools.

Student Advocate:

Create and monitor individualized intervention plans for disengaged or struggling students to help them stay on track for graduation.

Engagement Coach:

Maintain consistent outreach to students, encouraging participation, accountability, and academic progress.

Progress Tracker:

Monitor student performance and engagement through digital platforms such as Virtual Learning Academy and other learning management systems.

Team Collaborator:

Work closely with teachers, school leadership, and support staff to coordinate student success strategies.

Future Navigator:

Guide students toward employment opportunities, post-secondary education, and community resources as they prepare for life after graduation.

Documentation Pro:

Maintain organized and accurate case notes, student records, and communication logs using digital systems.

Student Engagement:

Travel regularly within your assigned region to meet students in person, build relationships, and provide hands-on coaching and support.

Testing Support:

Travel to approved testing locations to assist with proctoring required state assessments (STAR, EOC, and ACT).

Mission Champion:

Support the school's mission by helping students overcome barriers, stay engaged, and ultimately earn their high school diploma.

Community Connector:

Meet students in community locations when needed to strengthen engagement, build meaningful relationships, and help connect them with wraparound services that support both their educational progress and life circumstances.

Who You Are:

A strong relationship builder who can connect with students through virtual communication tools. Experience supporting students in online or virtual learning environments is preferred but not required. Passionate about helping at risk students ages 14-21 overcome barriers and graduate. Skilled in counseling, teaching, social work, or youth development. Organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple students and responsibilities. Emotionally intelligent with strong communication and motivational skills. Comfortable working remotely while maintaining consistent engagement with students.

What You'll Need:

Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, education, or a related field Experience working in a fully online education environment (virtual high school, online mentoring/tutoring, tele-counseling, etc.) At least 5 years supporting at-risk high school students (grades 9-12) in roles such as counselor, teacher, social worker, or behavioral specialist Strong technology skills and experience with tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, learning management systems, and digital communication platforms Ability to maintain detailed documentation and case notes Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for frequent travel Ability to work independently while collaborating with a virtual team Reliable high-speed internet for remote work Residence in Ohio Why Work With Us? This role requires regular regional travel to meet with students for one-on-one support sessions in the community and to assist at testing sites during state testing. Are you comfortable with that expectation, and do you have reliable transportation? Our salary range for this position is $50,000

•65,000. Does that align with your expectations? This isn't a strict 8-4 role. Occasionally you'll have an evening family call, need to test a student in the evening, or step in when a student needs support outside normal hours. It's not constant, but it happens. Are you comfortable with that?
