ABOUT NASDAThe National Association of State Departments of Agriculture is a nonpartisan, nonprofit association representing the elected and appointed commissioners, secretaries, and directors of the state departments of agriculture. NASDA enhances American food and agriculture communities through policy, partnerships, and public engagement.

ABOUT THE
POSITIONThe essential functions include but are not limited to:Review completed survey forms, questionnaires, and other materials for accuracy and completeness Monitor, coach, and continue to train enumerators during data collection Communicate with the NASDA Enumerator Manager and NASDA enumerators to achieve successful and efficient data collection
QUALIFICATIONSA
high school diploma and one year of college or work experience are requiredExperience in data collectionExceptional critical thinking skills. Ability to exercise sound judgment and resolve problemsExceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation skillsSuperior interpersonal and relationship-building skillsHigh level of independence in day-to-day tasksSelf-motivated as well as a team playerDemonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented work environment Willing to learn new duties and technology-related skills as requiredPosition requires 20-30 hours of availability per week (both weekday and weekend hours will be required) Reliable transportation and the ability to travel intermittently, throughout the year. Salemanship Skills and agricultural knowledge preferred.Ability to operate and navigate an iPad, email, and comfortable with learning new technology. Able to walk unassisted for up to 100 yardsAble to lift and carry up to 40 lbsAvailable for quarterly in-person training up to 350 miles awayAble to work up to 30 hours per weekSALARY RANGE- starting at $22.09 an hourWORK SCHEDULEThis is a Part-time, nonexempt position that is remote.
