Part-Time Employment Specialist -
Grand Junction Pay:

Hybrid / Community-Based Position Summary Expert Vocational Insights is seeking a Part-Time Employment Specialist to support individuals with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining meaningful, competitive employment throughout Grand Junction and surrounding communities . This is a hybrid, community-based position with no daily office requirement. The Employment Specialist works from home and in the community, helping participants identify employment goals, locate job opportunities, complete applications, prepare for interviews, connect with employers, and successfully transition into employment. Key Responsibilities Assess participant strengths, interests, employment goals, and barriers. Conduct individualized job searches and identify appropriate local employment opportunities. Assist with resumes, applications, cover letters, and job-search activities. Provide interview preparation, mock interviews, and workplace-readiness training. Conduct employer outreach and build relationships with Grand Junction-area businesses. Attend interviews, job fairs, hiring events, and employer meetings as appropriate. Coordinate with employers, vocational counselors, case managers, families, and other service providers. Support participants through job placement and transition to ongoing job coaching when needed. Complete accurate and timely case notes, reports, and required service documentation. Independently manage participant appointments, employer contacts, and deadlines. Travel throughout Grand Junction and surrounding communities. Qualifications Education or experience in human services, counseling, workforce development, education, recruiting, case management, or a related field. Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple participants. Comfortable conducting employer outreach and working throughout the community. Strong computer and documentation skills. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance. Ability to pass required background checks. Experience in vocational rehabilitation, supported employment, recruiting, disability services, special education, behavioral health, case management, employer relations, or working with transition-age youth is preferred. Work Environment This is a part-time, hybrid, field-based position . Employment Specialists work from home for documentation, job searches, virtual meetings, and employer outreach and travel throughout Grand Junction and surrounding Western Slope communities for participant meetings, interviews, job fairs, and employer development. Scheduling is flexible but must accommodate participant and employer needs. Why Join Expert Vocational Insights?
