Overview Seeking an experienced Vocational Evaluator who is already approved by the FL Department of Education to provice vocational evaluations. Responsibilities Conduct detailed vocational evaluations for individuals with disabilities, including those with developmental disabilities and autism, to determine their employment potential. Collaborate with clients, families, employers, and multidisciplinary teams to gather relevant information through interviews, assessments, and case management activities. Develop personalized employment plans that align clients' skills and interests with suitable job opportunities in various industries. Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to clients to enhance their job readiness, social skills, and workplace behavior. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, progress notes, and reports using Microsoft Office tools and case management software. Stay informed about current employment laws such as labor law and disability regulations to ensure compliance in all evaluations and recommendations. Engage in ongoing professional development related to workforce development programs, social services best practices, and culturally competent service delivery. Qualifications Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other disabilities in social services or rehabilitation settings. Strong knowledge of employment & labor law as it pertains to disability rights and workplace accommodations. Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring, training & development, and case management within diverse communities. Excellent communication skills for client interviews, client communication, report writing, and collaboration with stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting purposes. Familiarity with addiction counseling or social work is a plus for supporting clients facing multiple challenges. Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations from underserved communities through culturally sensitive approaches. Experience working within workforce development programs or social services agencies is highly desirable.
