Support Group Facilitator- Part-time

Qualifications:

AA/BS Degree in human services or related field and/or equivalent experience. Basic knowledge, understanding and experience working with victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault preferred. Good listener, self-motivated, team player. Ability to respond effectively to crises. Oral and written communications skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

Work directly with clients in a group setting providing trauma informed care. Facilitate themed sessions utilizing control logs, materials, and exercises. Maintain safety and security pre-cations at all times. Update Safehouse Shelter Supervisor of any safety concerns or issues with clients daily. Document and maintain participant attendance. Work closely with the shelter staff to communicate needs and to ensure seamless continuity of services. Attend trainings/meetings as scheduled.

Pay:

$17.50 - $18.00 per hour
