Job Description

Carroll Institute, in Sioux Falls, SD, has an opportunity to add a Counselor to our team! We are proud to say we are one of the state's most effective substance abuse prevention and treatment facilities. Carroll Institute has helped thousands overcome and begin the healing process from the devastation of chemical addiction, has reached thousands in local and regional schools with an individually-focused Prevention message, as well as provided thousands of hours of mental health counseling services to the Sioux Falls area. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree plus addictions licensure, but preference will be given to those who are dual-credentialed, with CAC/LAC plus a Master's degree with an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW license as well. Some of the duties of this position are: Provide comprehensive, integrated program services, within scope of practice, to target populations within Carroll Institute. This includes emergent issues, ongoing issues, continuity of services, contingency planning, future planning. Provide recovery oriented, co-occurring capable, stage matched interventions throughout each of the following services to individuals: Assessment and Diagnostic interviews Individual, family, or group therapy Education Crisis Management Case Management Alcohol/Drug testing (Urine Analysis, Breathalyzers, etc.) Discharge and Referrals Follow up services as necessary Prepare, review and submit required documentation throughout the treatment process for each individual.
