Ripley High School This will be a Classified position. The following information outlines the roles and responsibilities of a Transition Job Coach funded by a Transition School to Work (TSW) grant. It is a 10 month position. Works under the guidance of the Director of Special Education and Transition Case Manager for Laudedale County School System. Assists the Transition case Manager in completing referrals on students for possible Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) services. Attends meetings with the Transition Case Manager. Build positive relationships with all students receiving transition services and VR services. Attend district trainings and TSW Job Fairs. Teach students job skills, interview skills, and provide hands-on job experience within the local community. Teach students independent living skills, self advocacy, proper personal hygiene and how to work properly with co-workers. Teach a basic job skills curriculum. Teach students how to incorporate technology skills into a work environment. Communicate with high school Work Base Learning teachers. Maintain confidentiality at all times.
