Job Description

Outstanding Opportunity - Part Time or Full Time Seeking a compassionate, reliable, patient workplace mentor/job coach to provide 1:1 support to help an employed individual with a disability maintain success in his current position. No experience required. But you must possess the personal traits to work well with our son. We require and provide paid training for all employees in techniques (ABA) to teach new skills to our 36-year-old son and increase his independence. After successful completion of ABA training, advance to job coach training. The mentor/job coach accompanies our son at all times when he is working. Hours and schedule vary but include evening and weekend shifts. (Total 13-20 hours per week.) Additional hours (up to 40 per week) possibly available as a job coach (or in-home instructor at a different pay rate). Workplace support mentor/job coach responsibilities include: Providing direct, one-to-one support during work hours Assisting with task completion and workplace routines Supporting communication and interactions in the workplace Building independence and confidence Teaching and reinforcing workplace skills Coordinating with family and employer Transporting to and from workplace Pay rates: $15/hour during training, with bonus after completion of training. (Training takes about 40 hours.) After training, $23/hour as job coach/mentor, with possible increase in six months.
Requirements:
Very reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance, and able to work in downtown Austin and the Bee Cave/Lake Travis area Extremely dependable Completely clean criminal history and able to pass a drug screening Able to stand for up to six hours at a time Able to receive and provide detailed information through oral and written communication High school diploma required; college degree or pursuit of an undergraduate degree preferred Must have/obtain valid CPR certificate Must obtain Texas food handler's certificate
