Primary Purpose:
Provide clerical support for campus special education case management under the general supervision of the campus diagnostician. Support the accurate processing, documentation, scheduling, and recordkeeping of Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) and evaluation activities to ensure compliance with district procedures and legal requirements. Assist with communication and coordination efforts that support timely special education services for students.
Qualifications:
Education and Certification High school diploma or equivalent Experience Two (2) years of clerical and data entry experience Knowledge and Skills Ability to communicate effectively with diagnosticians, campus staff, students, and parents Proficient keyboarding, data entry, and file maintenance skills, including use of a 10-key keypad Proficient use of standard office productivity software, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Ability to organize work, manage time effectively, and meet established deadlines Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential and sensitive information Proficient organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform clerical support and data entry tasks under the direction of the campus diagnostician, including entering and maintaining information in district databases and record systems. Process, upload, and maintain ARD and Full and Individual Evaluation (FIE) documentation in accordance with district procedures and timelines. Distribute notices of ARD meetings to campus staff, ARD Committee members, and parents, as directed. Maintain the ARD calendar and assist with scheduling and preparation for meetings. Document communications and contacts with parents and campus personnel as required. Coordinate language interpretation services for meetings, including ARD and FIE meetings, as needed. Maintain confidentiality of student records, meeting proceedings, and sensitive information in compliance with applicable laws and district policies.
Additional Responsibilities:
Adhere to all district policies, procedures, and expectations as outlined in the employee handbook and administrative regulations. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Participate in professional development, faculty/department meetings, and special events as assigned. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of the campus and district.
