$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Make a Real Difference in Someone's Life Wright Choices, Inc. is seeking a Job Coach / Employment Specialist to help individuals with disabilities obtain and maintain meaningful employment throughout the Hampton Roads community. This is a community-based, highly independent role for professionals who enjoy building relationships, working outside of a traditional office, and empowering others to succeed. Since 1995, Wright Choices has partnered with the Virginia Department for Aging & Rehabilitative Services (DARS) to provide supported employment and vocational services for individuals with disabilities. Experience in supported employment is helpful but not required — we provide training for motivated candidates who are passionate about helping others succeed. Responsibilities include:

Helping individuals with disabilities prepare for competitive employment Developing job opportunities with local employers Conducting situational assessments to evaluate skills and interests Coordinating job interviews and job placements Providing on-site job coaching and workplace training Teaching workplace expectations and job tasks Maintaining documentation and service notes A Typical Day May Include Meeting a client at their workplace to provide job coaching Teaching job tasks through hands-on training and modeling Networking with local employers to identify job opportunities Supporting a client during their first day on the job Documenting service progress and communicating with supervisors Scheduling is flexible and may include any day of the week, depending on the needs of each client Who We Serve We support youth and adults with disabilities, including: Intellectual disabilities Autism spectrum disorders Mental health conditions Learning disabilities Physical disabilities Our services are provided in partnership with Virginia DARS counselors and local employers throughout Hampton Roads.
