Job Description
POSITION
: Associate TrainerSUMMARY OF POSITION
The primary role of the Associate Staff Trainer is to assist BT/RBT during their initial 90 days of hire, offer all BT/RBT hands on support in the field and provide additional training with the guidance of clinical director and the caseBCBA/LBA.
This position requires a minimum 6-month commitment, during which you will receive the training, mentorship, and tools needed to successfully transition into the BCBA Supervisor role.Required Level of Education:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience with ABA therapy, working with children with Autism in a supervised setting .ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in weekly meetings with Lead Associate Trainer . Conduct weekly new hire training or training as needed with advance coordination. Coordinate with HR and/or staffing coordinator to obtain the roster of training attendees for all scheduled new hire training. Assess competency of all new hires which may include observations, role play exam, and written exam. Conduct RBT Competency Assessment under the direction of a BCBA. Coordinate with Clinical Director and BCBAs in scheduling hands on training on identified cases needing additional support, this may include travel to and from Westchester, and Rockland Counties with advance coordination. Identify staff needing ongoing support through observation and feedback. Evaluate performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement. Design and deliver training programs on various topics by assess training needs in the field. This includes but not limited to professionalism in the workplace, improving parent relationships, improving communication between staff and supervisor, time management within sessions, receiving constructive feedback. All trainings should incorporate opportunities to role play when applicable. Confer with Clinical Director and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected staff changes or needs. Conduct skills lab on rotating curriculum twice a month (i.e., Every other Friday) via ZOOM or as needed with advance coordination. This includes coordination of attendance. Track all new hires within their first 90 days to ensure they are meeting new hire requirements for skills lab. Coordinate with Clinical Director and Lead Clinical Supervisor for weeklyBCBA/LBA
supervision if needed. Provide 1:1 Direct Behavior Therapy as needed. Provide Center Lead Coverage as needed. Provide hands-on support and training 2-3 times weekly at center locations for a minimum of 10-15 hours weekly. Assist with monitoring BT's as it pertains to their RBT status.
