This includes curriculum development, program implementation, staff support, student workplace credentialing, and developing partnerships with local businesses and community organizations. The Coordinator ensures that CTE programming and implementation provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in their chosen vocational and/or post-secondary educational placements. We serve students ages 5 to 22 who need extra support to find success in the classroom and community in locations across Virginia.

This role requires driving, therefore a "clean driving record" is critical.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, REQUIREMENTS, AND PREREQUISITES
Bachelor's degree in education or related field, Masters preferred. Valid Virginia teaching license required; endorsement in Special Education preferred. 5-years' experience in an educational setting required. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a CTE related role preferred. Experience in a school administration or leadership role preferred. Ability to travel as directed to all school sites as directed for the provision of on-site support and evaluation of CTE programming. Advance computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office and Office 365 preferred Valid Virginia Drivers' License and proof of insurance. Satisfactory Driving Record in accordance with Driver Requirements policy. Ability to drive agency vehicles or personal vehicles as needed. Ability to observe health and safety regulations. Must be able to participate in and maintain certification in crisis de-escalation techniques, First Aid, and CPR as requested. Must serve as a mandated reporter.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
May be required to perform any of the following duties: Teach CTE courses as assigned at the Roanoke campus. Routinely travel to other campuses to observe CTE programming to ensure fidelity to programmatic expectations, evaluate effectiveness, and to provide feedback and support. Provide leadership and training using our Career and College Readiness software. Facilitate collaborative planning sessions and professional learning communities among applicable staff. Establish and maintain partnerships with local businesses, industries, community organizations, and external stakeholders to enhance CTE programs. Serves as a liaison between Minnick Schools and external agencies, such as DARS, that can provide transition services to our students. Collaborate with school-based leadership to coordinate work-based learning opportunities for students, including internships, apprenticeships, and job shadowing. Provide division-wide leadership in the preparation and implementation of credentialing testing. Provide division-wide leadership on reports generated from Career and College Readiness software. Ensure all CTE programming complies with state and federal regulations. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and industry partners to design curriculum that integrates academic and technical skills. Monitor and assess program effectiveness, adjusting as necessary to improve student outcomes. Prepare and submit regulatory reports to state and federal agencies as required. Collaborate with agency philanthropy team to secure additional funding for CTE programs through grants and donors. Comply with agency and division policies, as well as state and federal laws and regulations involving the licenses of software, hardware, and the use technology for CTE. Provides division-wide leadership in identifying and implementing professional development programs to staff. Provides input to division leadership regarding instructional and technical needs for the annual budget. Routinely reviews and analyzes available data at the school and division level to identify successes and areas for improvement. Collaborates with school and division leadership is action-based responses to identified areas of improvement. All other duties as assigned.
