Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Community Coach, dedicated to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities and autism within diverse communities. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing personalized coaching, support, and guidance that foster independence, skill development, and community engagement. As a vital part of our workforce development initiatives, you will work closely with clients, families, and community partners to promote inclusive practices and enhance quality of life. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized coaching plans tailored to each client's needs, goals, and abilities. Provide direct support and mentorship to individuals with disabilities, including those with autism and from underserved communities. Facilitate skill-building activities related to daily living, social interaction, employment readiness, and community participation. Maintain accurate case management records, progress notes, and service documentation using Microsoft Office tools. Conduct client interviews and assessments to identify strengths, challenges, and opportunities for growth. Collaborate with social services agencies, workforce development programs, and community organizations to coordinate resources and support networks. Deliver training sessions and workshops on topics such as addiction counseling, social work practices, and cultural Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism in various settings. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting purposes. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations. Background in workforce development programs or social services related to disability inclusion. Excellent coaching, mentoring, interviewing, and training skills to support client growth. Effective communication skills for client engagement, case management, and collaboration with team members.
