Job Description

On-Call Caregiver Florence, AL 35630 $17 an hour - Contract $17 an hour - Contract Overview Join our compassionate team as an On-Call Caregiver, where your dedication and skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care and support. This dynamic role offers flexibility to assist clients in various settings, including private homes, assisted living facilities, group homes, and community environments. As an On-Call Caregiver, you will provide essential assistance with daily activities, monitor health and safety, and deliver compassionate care that promotes independence and well-being. Your proactive approach and caring nature will help create a safe, supportive environment for those in need. Responsibilities Provide attentive assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe changes in health status to ensure safety and well-being Assist with medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking as required Support patients with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices, ensuring safe transfer procedures Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, observations, and any incidents in compliance with healthcare standards Perform light cleaning duties to uphold a safe and hygienic environment within clients' homes or care facilities Qualifications Prior experience working in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, or hospice care is a plus Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory impairments Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in health conditions Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed for patient support Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to foster trust and rapport with clients Join us as an On-Call Caregiver and become an integral part of a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional care.
