Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team in Madison. The ideal candidates will possess a strong commitment to patient care, with experience in assisted living, long-term care, or home health environments. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting clients with daily activities, health monitoring, and companionship while adhering to healthcare standards and maintaining a respectful, nurturing environment. Responsibilities Provide attentive patient observation to monitor health status and respond promptly to emergencies or changes in condition. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Support clients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice support, catheter care, and memory care. Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and vital signs monitors while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and assist with meal planning and preparation. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including laundry and cleaning. Document all patient interactions clearly and accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed. Experience Candidates should have prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings. Experience with medical terminology, medication administration, medical documentation, and EMR/EHR systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of long-term care practices, working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, and providing hospice or dementia-related care will strengthen your application. Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications such as hospice training or specialized dementia training are advantageous. A background in caring for seniors or individuals with complex health needs combined with excellent communication skills will enable you to succeed in this rewarding role.
Pay:
$21.46 - $25.84 per hour
